Deserved win for One Over All

Aided by a positive drive from Matthew Willamson, One Over All added to his long list of wins on both sides of the Tasman with a powerful front-running display for for owners Mark Goodhew and Lex Williams, who races the trotter with the estate of his late wife, Heather.

One Over All initially won five races in New Zealand before adding 17 Australian wins including four group races to his impressive record.

Taken straight to the front from his wide draw in the Omakau trotting feature, One Over All ran some solid sectionals in the lead and had his rivals covered a long way from home. The son of Angus Hall eventually cruised down to the line winning by three lengths.

The winning mile rate was 1:58.4 with the last 800m cut out in 59.2 seconds. Jimmy Carter ran an improved race for second with favourite Midnight Dash fighting on well for third after sitting parked for the last lap.
